CUSTOMER CHOICE
Third-party accessibility
Company administrators authorize an app’s scopes through OAuth. The custom-integration guide reserves eligibility to specific approved customers and developers; marketplace testing has additional coordination rules.
Confirm who can connect, who owns the credentials and which uses are permitted. Customer consent and provider approval can be separate requirements; the selected plan and contract still matter.
READ / INTEGRATE
API and export routes
Queries return structured client records and cursor-paginated collections. Scope and schema checks determine which other objects the application may read.
| Access route | Authentication | Credential owner | Provider approval | Access requirement | Last checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Private custom integration | OAuth 2.0 | Integration provider | Yes | approved custom integration eligibility; draft capped at five paying accounts | 2026-10-16 |
| Reviewed marketplace app | OAuth 2.0 | Integration provider | Yes | jobber app review and marketplace testing; customer administrator oauth authorization | 2026-10-16 |
Availability depends on your product, plan and agreement. See the documentation below for the requirements of each route.
ECONOMIC ACCESS
Cost, authentication and limits
Minimum-plan API entitlement and access-specific fees remain unresolved. Per app/account limits are 2,500 requests per five minutes and a 10,000-point query bucket restoring 500 points per second.
Check API entitlement, credential ownership and rate limits for the route you intend to use. Include review fees, customer-plan upgrades and ongoing access charges in the total.
ACT FROM OUTSIDE
External action
Client creation and editing are documented. Mutations return userErrors that must be checked even when transport succeeds.
Validate the supported operation, acting identity and permission scope (read access does not imply write permission). Ambiguous retries and revoked credentials also affect whether an external workflow can run safely.
KEEP ACCESS USEFUL
Continuity
Webhooks identify account, object and event, then require a data refetch. Delivery can duplicate and must be acknowledged within one second; the reviewed guide does not establish a durable replay window.

Useful ongoing access includes corrections and deletions, not only the first export. A failed request, changed filter or lost resource permission should not be interpreted as a deleted record.
LEAVE WITH YOUR DATA
Data exit and portability
Paginated records support an external copy of permitted objects. Full files, history, workflow migration and cancellation retrieval rights remain unverified.
Test the output against the destination’s required fields and history. Check stable identifiers, relationships, attachments and extraction time; a sample file proves only the coverage of that sample.
BUILD / INSPECT / REUSE
Business logic and customization
Apps can apply external rules and configure custom fields with the relevant scope. That does not establish native workflow ownership (custom-field availability starts at Connect).
Custom API access, ownership of workflows and the right to export their definitions are separate questions. A custom-app capability alone does not establish that business rules can move to another system.
