API access is restricted to Business, Enterprise and Advanced Work Management plans, creating a higher-plan requirement. The reviewed sources do not establish negotiated price or a separate access fee amount.
Check API entitlement, credential ownership and rate limits for the route you intend to use. Include review fees, customer-plan upgrades and ongoing access charges in the total.

Row APIs document adding and updating cell values subject to permissions and validation. Bulk operations can report partial success, so successful HTTP delivery alone is insufficient.

Data exit and portability
Excel exports and structured sheet responses provide a customer-held copy. Formula behavior, attachments, discussions and native automation require separate migration checks.
Test the output against the destination’s required fields and history. Check stable identifiers, relationships, attachments and extraction time; a sample file proves only the coverage of that sample.
BUILD / INSPECT / REUSE
Business logic and customization
External applications can implement logic through sheet APIs and notifications. Portable ownership of native workflow definitions remains unresolved (an exported sheet is not proof of reusable automation).
Custom API access, ownership of workflows and the right to export their definitions are separate questions. A custom-app capability alone does not establish that business rules can move to another system.
