Cost, authentication and limits
Zoho publishes rolling credit budgets by edition plus organization/app concurrency limits. Exact commercial entitlement for the complete assessed portfolio, including Bulk Read and COQL, remains unresolved relative to the lowest paid plan.
Check API entitlement, credential ownership and rate limits for the route you intend to use. Include review fees, customer-plan upgrades and ongoing access charges in the total.

Scoped REST APIs insert, update and upsert CRM records. Bulk Write is separate and excludes attachments and workflows; read export does not prove native configuration can be restored.

Useful ongoing access includes corrections and deletions, not only the first export. A failed request, changed filter or lost resource permission should not be interpreted as a deleted record.

Bulk Read and REST provide structured records before cancellation. The bulk export scope does not establish recovery of all attachments, audit history or executable native configurations. Post-cancellation retrieval remains unverified.
Test the output against the destination’s required fields and history. Check stable identifiers, relationships, attachments and extraction time; a sample file proves only the coverage of that sample.

Business logic and customization
Zoho documents custom functions written in Deluge for CRM extensions. Their native execution earns authoring credit, while rights to export and run those definitions independently remain unresolved (a language feature does not settle ownership).
Custom API access, ownership of workflows and the right to export their definitions are separate questions. A custom-app capability alone does not establish that business rules can move to another system.
